Industry Program 2023

The extensive IDFA 2023 Industry Program presents high-profile talks, presentations, consultancies, and think tanks. The Industry Program activities take place from Saturday November 11 to Wednesday November 15, with Thursday November 16 dedicated to the Dutch industry and Dutch language programming.

Filmmaker Talks are a series of hour-long conversations with renowned documentary directors, covering their body of work, creative methods, and views on documentary filmmaking, illustrated with excerpts from their own films.

Our slate of Industry Talks at ITA bring you up to speed on current developments in the industry as well as covering larger trends and urgent discussions.

Various types of sessions at ITA bring you up to speed on the current developments in the industry. Industry Sessions cover a broad range of topics presented by experts in the field.

Industry Meetups are gatherings, organized by relations of IDFA, to promote discourse, collaboration, and connection across borders.

As part of the Industry Program, renowned experts are on hand for consultancies focusing on a different subject every day, such as handling film rights, impact producing, distribution, and much more. All accredited guests can participate by reserving a free ticket when announced in the fall or by queuing for a last-minute slot at the Consultancy Desk during the festival. All booked consultancies are then visible in individual MyIDFA accounts.

Gathering experts and thinkers together in a private setting, Think Tanks are breeding grounds for discussion, debate, and exchange about a defining issue or question facing today's industry. Attendance is by invitation only.

Every year, IDFA offers professional guests the opportunity to screen a showcase of films from in the official program including the International and Envision competition films as well as a selection of the above 40 minutes film from the non-competitive sections.

Discover a showcase of films outside the official selection exclusively for our professional guests. The screenings take place in IDFA cinemas, and are accessible to all accredited guests at IDFA.
