Forum Pitch Presentations

Everything you need to know about the IDFA Forum Pitches.

About the Forum Pitch Presentation

A long-established element of IDFA Forum, the Forum Pitch caters to projects in all stages of production seeking co-financing, collaboration, and/or distribution. The project team (consisting of a producer and director) presents the project to a hand-picked group of industry representatives and financiers in front of an audience of industry observers. The Forum Pitch is an opportunity to present the project, discuss potential partnerships, and receive constructive feedback. Teams then meet with interested industry representatives over the course of two days of one-on-one meetings.

Approximately twenty project teams will each get twenty minutes for their presentation: The pitch, including visual material such as a trailer or selected scenes, lasts maximum ten minutes; the following ten minutes are set aside for feedback from the panel. All presentations can be customized to fit the needs of the team and the project. The teams will get feedback from a tailor-made group of potential financiers matched to each project to allow room for in-depth conversations about the artistic intentions and goals of the team, as well as potential financing and collaboration.

Key dates

  • Presentations: November 18 and November 19

Practical information

  • Forum pitches are presented live in Amsterdam. Project teams who are unable to travel need to get in touch with the IDFA team.
  • Only two team members can present, preferably one producer and the director.
  • A moderator is present to coordinate post-presentation discussion and stimulate connections.
  • Each project will have one-on-one meetings with professionals interested in the project. These are arranged by the Forum staff based on preferences of the project team and Industry representatives and financiers, as well as input from the Forum staff.
