Jury for the IDFA Award for Best Dutch Film

Fabien Greenberg is an award-winning French director and producer currently based in Norway. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Film and Photography from Napier University, Edinburgh; his graduation film was screened in the Cinefondation program at the Cannes Film Festival. In 2013, he co-founded Antipode Films in Norway with Bård Kjøge Rønning, producing and directing documentaries. Since then, their films have garnered international acclaim, captivating global audiences and sparking social and political awareness. This is evidenced among others by the Radiograph of a Family winning the IDFA Award for Best Feature-Length Documentary in 2020, No Other Land receiving two awards at Berlinale 2024 as well as an Academy Award, and Past Future Continuous winning the IDFA Award for Best Film - Envision Competition in 2025.

Meryem Yavuz is a cinematographer based in Istanbul. Working across fiction and documentary, she is drawn to stories that explore intimacy, memory, identity, and the shifting boundaries between the personal and the collective. She studied cinema at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University and was selected for the Berlinale Talent Campus in 2009. Since then, she has worked on numerous feature films, shorts, and documentaries. Her work has been presented at major international festivals including Cannes, Berlinale, Venice, Sundance, Toronto, Tokyo, and IDFA. Her documentary filmography includes Amina, Letter from Silivri, My Name Is Happy, and Blue ID (winner of an Audience Award at IDFA 2022), alongside fiction features such as Two Lines, Passed by Censor, Not Knowing, and Ayşe. Moving between observational and more intimate forms of filmmaking, Yavuz sees cinematography as a way of listening as much as looking, creating space for people and stories to reveal themselves. In 2020, she was selected for the American Society of Cinematographers Vision Mentorship Program. She is a member of the European Film Academy and the Cinematographers’ Association of Turkey. She is currently developing Our Seeds (working title), a feature-length documentary she is producing and photographing, supported by IDFA Bertha Fund, Sundance, Redford Grant Centre and Eurimages.

Tamara Dawit is a Canadian producer, director, and creative sector policy advisor of Ethiopian, Eritrean, and Ukrainian descent. Through Gobez Media, she has recently produced Alazar (screened at Cannes and TIFF, among others) and the Emmy-nominated Made in Ethiopia (Tribeca, Sheffield). As a director, her work includes the acclaimed feature documentary Finding Sally (Gothenburg, Hot Docs) and Grandma Knows Best?, as well as the forthcoming films Daughter of Silence and The Plot. She is currently producing a slate of genre films and documentaries, including Mehal Sefari, now in post-production, and The Last Tears of the Deceased, currently in pre-production. A MacDowell and Chalmers Arts Fellow, Dawit works internationally on inclusion policy and production practices. Through European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs (EAVE), she is Head of Studies for several producer training programs and authors the annual EAVE Impact Think Tank report.
