Entries checklist

This page contains an overview of the information needed to provide in the IDFA Forum and Docs for Sale entry forms. The online entry forms are available starting June 10 through MyIDFA in the section My Entries. There are four entry forms: the IDFA Forum entry form for film projects interested in the Forum Pitch or Rough Cut categories, the IDFA DocLab Forum entry form for new media projects, the Producers Connection form for film projects seeking co-productions and the Docs for Sale form for finished films looking to integrate the 2024/2025 Docs for Sale catalogue. All information must be provided in English.

Please note:

the entry deadline for IDFA Forum is August 1 end of day.

the entry deadline for Docs for Sale is September 9 end of day.

IDFA Forum Entry Form Phase 1: Entry

To fill out the entry form for this phase, the following information is required:

IDFA Forum Entry Form Phase 2: Pre-selection

All projects that make it through the pre-selection for IDFA Forum will be asked to fill out a second entry form. This form will be available between August 25 and August 30.

IDFA Forum Entry Form Phase 3: Upon selection

To optimally present the selected projects on the Forum website and printed publication, the project teams will be asked to fill out a third form to confirm which content we can publish. As we have a very strict timeline for publication, we would ask projects to fill out the form as soon as possible.

To fill out the entry form for this phase, the following information is required:

Docs for Sale Submissions Checklist


  • A completely filled out and submitted entry form.
  • A downloadable preview link of your film (preferably a password-protected Vimeo link), provided in the entry form.
  • The file of your completed film provided through the upload link you will receive shortly after submitting the entry form (once you submit the entry form you will receive an email about how to submit the file). Please follow Vimeo's compression guidelines. For films which are not spoken in English, please encode your video using hardcoded English subtitles.
  • Film stills (landscape orientation, JPG/JPEG, high resolution, at least 300 DPI or 3 MB)
