Who Can Attend IDFA Forum?

Observer status is strictly reserved for independent producers.

All applications are subject to a selection process. Registration does not guarantee accreditation, and the organizers reserve the right to accept or decline applications. Due to limited capacity, only one representative per production company (or affiliated companies) will be granted access.

If your Observer application is not successful, you may convert your request into a festival pass.

If you submitted a project to IDFA Forum that was not selected, you are still encouraged to apply for Observer status.

Please note: IDFA Forum is a producers' market. Directors cannot apply for an Observer pass.

As an Observer, you will have the opportunity to:

• Attend Forum presentations, including the Forum Pitch, Producers Connection, DocLab Forum, and Rough Cut Presentations
• Gain insight into current trends, funding models, and co-financing opportunities
• Arrange your own meetings with attending industry professionals
• Join social events such as the Producers Breakfast and Forum Lunch
• Exclusive access to the Forum networking areas

Independent producers with a track record in co-production who are looking to discover new projects and connect with international peers may request access to the one-on-one meetings with projects presented in the Producers Connection and Forum Pitch category. These producers will be invited to meet with selected projects of interest.

Industry representatives and financiers might be invited to:

• Participate in the one-on-one meetings
• Take part in small-scale, thematic Informative Panels

These panels—replacing the former post-pitch feedback sessions—promote open discussion about funders' mandates and practical pathways to financing. They provide valuable, transparent insight for producers navigating today's funding landscape.
