Running from November 15 to 19, the Industry Program welcomes close to 2,500 filmmakers and professionals for five days of events that examine the current state and future of documentary cinema. Through a diverse lineup of Industry Talks, Industry Sessions, Think Tanks, Delegation Showcases, Social Events, and more, the program fosters dialogue on how filmmakers work, collaborate, and sustain their practices in today’s complex landscape.  

This year’s conversation addresses the pressing realities in the field—from the challenges of international co-production to distribution and the role of documentary. The impact of documentary films is often difficult to measure, and their use as educational tools or dialogue-starters for children and youth is a sensitive and fraught process in a divided world. As emerging technologies like AI continue to reshape research, production, and storytelling, the program invites guests to explore both new opportunities and the ethical challenges that await us.  

Across more than a hundred sessions, delegations, and networking events, the Industry Program offers the space to build connections between film professionals and further the exchange of knowledge and ideas.
