IDFA Bertha Fund call for entries: IBF Classic
The IDFA Bertha Fund calls for entries for IBF Classic funding scheme.
The IDFA Bertha Fund invites filmmakers to enter their projects for IBF Classic, the Fund’s flagship grant program supporting creative documentary films in development and (post-)production.
Deadline: June 10, 2025.
This call is open to documentary projects from filmmakers based in Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, Latin America, or the Caribbean (See the IBF Classic Country List). The program offers two categories of support:
- Project Development: Up to €7,500 support per project
- Production & Post-production: Up to €25,000 support per project
Beyond financial support, IBF Classic offers selected filmmakers year-round guidance and opportunities through IDFA’s Filmmaker Support department, providing access to a global professional network and tailored mentorship.
We’re looking for bold, compelling documentary projects with a strong artistic vision and the potential to connect with audiences worldwide. All entries must meet general eligibility guidelines and category-specific criteria. Read more about these criteria here.
