Synopsis

In the heart of war-ravaged Mosul, a marble gate stands in the ruins. Carved into stone are two lions—the last of what was one of the city’s grandest homes. Like thousands of historic buildings, it is rubble.
Three men strive to push Mosul out from the ruins. Bashar, a fisherman, tries to rebuild his family’s home of the lion gate. Fakhri, a collector, salvages remnants of the city’s past to preserve its history in his museum and who wants the lion gate. Fadel, a musician, once silenced under ISIS rule, inspires a new generation to embrace art over extremism.
