Synopsis
For fifty years, El Hadj Salifou Ouédraogo has dedicated his life to planting baobabs in western Burkina Faso. Initially met with skepticism and prejudice, his commitment never wavered. Today, at 82, he has planted more than 4,600 baobabs, transforming the landscape and creating a living forest that stretches to the horizon. His lifelong mission is not only a personal fight but also a powerful legacy of resilience, hope, and ecological preservation. Through his tireless work, he has safeguarded these rare, majestic, and endangered trees of the African savannah, ensuring their survival for future generations.
