Synopsis

On February 23rd, 14 of the Ukrainian musicians in Kyiv Soloists started a short tour with the orchestra to Italy. The day after, Russia invaded their homeland.

In the midst of the chaos that enveloped, the orchestra decided to expand their tour across Europe. They removed Russian pieces and replaced it with music from Ukrainian composers.

After 60 days on tour, they get work and housing from Arctic Philharmonic in Bodø, Norway. Despite the temporary stop in touring, they don’t dare to make plans, ready to move on at any time.

Through the first year of war it’s like the stages of grief; Shock, pain, anger, depression and acceptance.
