It's Always Been Me

It’s Always Been Me follows Max, a girl at birth but who has since transitioned into a transgender boy, and Bastian, who most of the time identifies as a girl despite being assigned a boy at birth. They grapple with their changing bodies and the urgency of deciding whether to undergo irreversible hormone treatment to halt puberty. As their voices deepen and bodies develop, they face the challenge of self-discovery amid societal discrimination against transgender individuals. This documentary sheds light on their honest and sometimes difficult journey, highlighting their fight against a heteronormative society.
