70% Informals

70% Informals is an eye-opening journey into the invisible epidemic shaping our planet — informality. Encounters across Germany, Greece, Mexico, Peru, Tunisia, and the US expose a hidden world where more than three in every five people live outside formal society and economy, without rights, recognition, or security. From street vendors and undocumented migrants to a human trafficker, renowned thinkers, and top CEOs, the film reveals how informality traps billions across the Global South and the world's wealthiest nations. Yet hope emerges: economist Elena Panaritis shows how nations can lift their citizens from the shadows into the dignity of the middle class.
