Festival attendance

Throughout the year, the IDFA team attends the hottest film festivals, up-and-coming industry platforms, and everything in between. 

Just like in our programming, we seek to connect the world through our travels, with a focus on learning and one-to-one relationship building with filmmakers, producers, and colleagues. Seeing films, meeting talent, and exchanging knowledge are at the heart of our work abroad. 

At the same time, we're keeping an eye on our carbon footprint. We are currently developing a more sustainable travel policy in which we limit our flying, forego unnecessary trips, and explore options for working with local representatives on the ground. It’s about connecting the world, but accepting responsibility, and remaining sharply accountable for our actions.
