Festival attendance

Throughout the year, the IDFA team attends film festivals, industry platforms, and documentary events taking place around the world.

As in our programming, we aim to stay connected with the international documentary field, with a focus on learning and one-to-one relationship building with filmmakers, producers, and colleagues. Seeing films, meeting talent, and exchanging knowledge are central to our work at these events. 

At the same time, we remain mindful of our carbon footprint. We are currently developing a more sustainable travel policy in which we limit our flying, avoid unnecessary trips, and explore options for working with local representatives on the ground. Our goal is to stay connected internationally, while taking responsibility for how we travel.
