Where Zebus Speak French

This is the story of Ly, one of the last peasant orators in Madagascar's capital. At his home, political promises and peasant oratory clash. He and his companions fight to defend the land they cultivate from the voracious appetite of the townspeople. Meanwhile, the children, helped by his eldest daughter and a group of artists, put on a show to try to define the farmers' soul. To stop being manipulated, they are the ones who manipulate puppets in the hope that this show - and this film - will become "a weapon of mass media coverage".
