This year, IDFA DocLab revolves around the theme of 'This Is Not a Simulation.' Digital media ranging from VR to AR and from performances to interactive installations, challenge you to think about reality. What do we take for granted, and what's the connection between authenticity and representation? Does The Truth even exist at all, in times of artificial intelligence, post-truth, and alternate virtual worlds? In other words, how does reality get presented, perceived, and interpreted, and which role does technology play—and you as an individual?
