DocLab Forum
In the cross-media market IDFA DocLab Forum, new media projects are pitched and presented to find their way to new partnerships, receive in-depth feedback, and explore new ways to move forward.
The DocLab Forum is open to all sorts of non-fiction artworks in all production and financing stages. All presented projects use emerging media to represent reality, including web experiences, multimedia journalism, digital art, games, audio experiences, immersive experiences (such as VR/AR/MR, social VR, and fulldome films), physical installations, live performances, and/or immersive theater.
The pitches are judged by a panel of up to three people responding to the project. The panellists are potential (financial) partners representing funders, exhibitors, and studios working in the field. Besides the project teams and potential financiers, the room is open to observers: artists, creative technologists, cultural and private organizations operating in the field of innovation, art, and new media. In addition, the IDFA DocLab Forum consists of individual meetings, training and support, and knowledge-sharing and networking events.
